Riverview Natural Area Preserve Dedication

The Little Forks Conservancy is excited to announce the dedication for the largest acquisition in our history.  The Conservancy will officially open the new Riverview Natural Area to the public at a ribbon cutting Thursday, September 29 at 4:15 p.m. Following the dedication, enjoy light refreshments and take a hike along the new trails.

The Conservancy began the 419-acre Riverview Natural Area acquisition in July 2008 and completed fundraising earlier this year. Over the course of the summer, volunteers have been at work to prepare the trails for visitors.  A new parking area was installed in late 2010 with funding from the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation.

To visit Riverview Natural Area from Downtown Midland, take M-20 west about four miles then turn right at Homer Road. Follow Homer Road until Wheeler Road, then turn left. The parking area is located a quarter mile down Wheeler Road.
